Dirk Claessens is the Vice President, Industrial Sector for Growth Markets.
He joined IBM as a Consulting Partner when PwC consulting was acquired in 2002. As a consulting partner he has been involved in delivering assignments in Supply Chain Management, Technologies and Application Strategies and Implementations in the industrial Sector. This includes international assignments for two years in Australia/New Zealand, and one year in Taiwan after which he returned to Europe.
Joining IBM he was asked to lead the Industrial Products Industry Globally and as such he has worked in Chemicals and Petroleum and Metals and Mining companies and spoken on various occasions on conferences around the world. He has published whitepapers on topics such as “The Globally Integrated Enterprise” and specific Supply Chain topics.
He holds a degree in Commercial Engineering and an MBA.
