2018年12月14日上午，澳大利亚格里菲斯大学金鑫博士应邀到访体育外围平台APP旅游与酒店管理学系，为师生带来题为“教育交流与文化碰撞”的学术分享。金鑫博士长期致力于旅游教学实践，并在教学实践过程中积累了丰富的跨文化交流经验。此次讲座由林珊珊副教授主持。
讲座伊始，金鑫博士简要介绍了她的学习经历、研究方向，并热情邀请在座师生进行简短的个人介绍，现场气氛融洽。紧接着，金鑫博士切入主题，详细回顾她带领格里菲斯大学学生到访中山大学开展学术与实践交流的经历。金鑫博士指出，在该活动的筹备与进行过程中，处处渗透着不同文化身份、文化圈层的碰撞与激荡。大至意识形态、价值观念，小至娱乐方式、衣食起居，皆可成为不同人群之间跨文化交流的交锋点。
金鑫博士还通过外国学生对中国桥牌文化的好奇、文化大国主义和文化平等主义之间的对比、因饮食习惯差异导致的尴尬与机智化解等鲜活案例进行说明，引起在座师生的浓厚兴趣，并给予大家深刻的启迪。
之后，金鑫博士介绍了澳大利亚格里菲斯大学旅游、运动与酒店体育外围平台APP和香港理工大学酒店与旅游体育外围平台APP在旅游学科领域人才培养、科学研究等方面的深入合作模式，鼓励在场学生加入这一广泛的复合型交流平台中。
最后，金鑫博士以“文化情商”为切入点，鼓励大家在跨文化交流机会中丰富交往常识、锻炼文化情商、真诚打开心扉，其思想深刻而富有洞见。在场师生与金鑫博士深入交流后，林珊珊副教授对本次讲座进行总结，再次代表学院感谢金鑫博士带来的文化盛宴。
报告人简介：
Dr. Xin Jin is Senior Lecturer of the Department of Tourism, Sport and Hotel Management at Griffith Business School, Griffith University. She gained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Nankai University (Tianjin), a Master of Arts from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (Guangzhou), a Master of Arts from University of Westminster (London), and Doctor of Philosophy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong SAR). Her areas of research interest are event management, event tourism and destination marketing. Dr. Jin has authored or co-authored a number of publications in top tier tourism, hospitality and event journals and sits on the editorial board of six academic journals, namely Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research, Event Management, Journal of China Tourism Research, Journal of Convention and Event Tourism, International Journal of Event and Festival Management, International Journal of Hospitality and Event Management. She has completed as co-investigators a number of government and industry consultancy projects, with the recent being ‘The economic impacts of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games’ for the Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and Commonwealth Games (DTESB) Queensland Government.
